Stripper Plate 2 back | next

After soldering, put the plate with the pins protruding through the enlarged holes of the bottom plate. Sand down the ends of the pins until they are the same height as the punch. A good method to do this is to use a couple of pieces of 1/16" thick metal as a spacer.

Another method is to drill and tap the stripper plate for 4-40 x 1/4" long screws. If this method is used, larger clearance holes in the bottom plate are required, and the off-set of the holes to the edge of the punch must be adjusted.
