INTERIOR CUTTING DIES
The Design back | next
Cut a piece of paper the same size as the tool steel. Lay out the design for your die on the paper, staying in the upper third. Stay 3/8" (10mm) to 1/2" (13mm) away from the edges of the paper. When your design is finalized, carefully cut out the interior portion with a sharp blade. Use masking tape to temporarily secure the outer piece of paper to the RED SIDE OF THE TOOL STEEL. Scribe the outline of your design for the INTERIOR CUT into the surface of the tool steel. Remove the paper template and save for later.
