Soldering Microfolded Beads

Last week, I was working on figuring out how to make some microfolded "melon" beads, and I think I may have come up with a small innovation on how to hold a microfolded bead together for soldering.  After corrugating the strip for the bead, I bent it around into a cylinder, and trimmed the ends so that one end is inserted up into a "hump" of corrugation.  I then squeezed the hump together with pliers at each end (confirming that fold at the ends).  I left most of the seam unsoldered, which seems to help it form more fluidly.  After soldering, the ends all get confirmed, anyways, so the squeezed seam blends in with the others.

P.S. Please forgive the crude illustration.  I wasn't really planning on one, but realized that the words were kind of inadequate.
