I just discovered this discussion group , so I thought I would chime inas my work is a little different from the wonderful work I see you are doing. I work hot with a 50-ton and hundred-ton presses built by Lee. I primarily work with 4" schedule 40 pipe, but also work with 6" pipe, 3"x7" structural tubing and 7"x7" tubing. These have wall thicknesses of 1/4" to 3/8" thick or more. I use breakes in the pipe, and selective cooling in water as my primary control tools.Bill Hornaday
