The anatomically incorrect dragonfly

Nothing new to report.I'm still waiting to get the die back from heat treating slowpokes. I did make a bronze sandcasting of the d'fly body-only forming module for the
d'fly from which a miscommunication generated the show & tell dragonfly. Getting used to that process again. Bronze goes a lot hotter than aluminum!!  but I don't want to dork around drilling and tapping to attach the form ,like I did for the giant leaf. I just want to solder the module to the die and be done with it. Don't have aluminum soldering down, so bronze it is. I could use silver, but it's pretty soft. I could throw in some copper for coin silver though. Hmmm...

We already broke 4 of 26 screws holding the leaf module on. Totally glad the leaf was done that way , since disassembly was needed to fix that die. Not going to have that problem (die drift, damage, and jamming) with the dragonfly, so we won't need to disassemble it.

More when it happens,
