Talk to me, Dar! (and anyone else who wants to)

G'day guys,
I have designed a single shape that interlocks with multiples of itself, (a tesselation - I haven't lost everyone yet have I?). I am looking at the possibility of producing multiple tiles of this shape with the aid of a blanking die. these tiles would be punched from 3mm (1/8") aluminium sheet.
My first query- This tile is approx. 10cm (4") square, and 1/8" thick. Does the 20 ton press provide enough force to punch out such components?
second query- For this tile design to lock together with others of it's kind, the accurate piercing of the original tool is obviously paramount. Does Sheltec often make blanking dies that demand this degree of accuracy?
Third query- If Dar wasn't good enough to make this die, and I had to do it myself (just talkin' bollocks,Dar!), What thickness steel would I start with? I understand that it would need to be at least 1/8", but past that I've no idea. Thanks!
Darren
