Exactly! There is no other way to produce this kind of textured vessel (that I can think of) except the deep draw process. I took the draw down to the 3/4" punch (the inside diameter of the vessel). I continue to be absolutely fascinated with the variables that affect the obtained texture. The starting sheet metal here was a rectangle with the microfolds (90 degrees) parallel to the sides. The folds on the short axis of the rectangle collapsed before those on the long axis (the "path of least resistance") giving the "concentric draped appearance" on two sides of the vessel. The pattern in the texture will change with the relative dimensions of the rectangle (keeping the folds parallel to the sides) and an even greater change in texture occurs if the folds are not parallel with the sides!! I will bring vessels showing these effects to the SNAG Conference in Denver (at the Bonnydoon Booth in the Vendor's Room). ....Jack
