What Dar didn't mention is that he will be participating in a new event that will occur for the first time in the vendor room. We will be doing a "mini-teach-in" with several well known metalsmiths that will provide hands-on instruction of die forming techniques, as well as Q&A. These will be short 15-20 minute sessions, with some "chalk talk", as well as actual demos. So far, we have lined up Phil Poirier doing deep draw, Jack Berry using the Micro-fold brake, Dar will do some die cutting, and a lot of talking about the process (if you haven't seen him saw, you have an unforgettable experience in store), Anne Hollerbach doing reticulation of deep-drawn vessels, Cynthia Eid forming and raising vessels, and many more (yet to be announced).
