Ken,
it looks like the pantograph serves you well, I think it might be the better choice with some dies. How about a photo of your pantograph setup!?
I just picked up a load of die shoes that were at a salvage yard, I am planning on adapting them for my own use but before I do I get to play with them as them came, with all the die workings bolted up for their respective purposes, one of which is a coining die, the others are mainly for shallow forming and blanking.
I'll post images of each for the group to see.
